John P. Martin, M.D.

Dr. John Martin is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist with a focus on cataract surgery. He joined NVOA in 1999, the same year he completed his training and earned board certification.
He graduated with honors in biology from the College of the Holy Cross and received his medical degree from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1995. He completed a transitional internship through Georgetown University at Fairfax Hospital and his ophthalmology residency at Georgetown, where he served as chief resident.
He belongs to two national societies: the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
