Christina A. Bruno, M.D.

Dr. Christina Bruno is a board-certified, glaucoma fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who cares for patients with glaucoma and cataracts and provides comprehensive eye care. She joined NVOA in May 2007.

She earned her medical degree at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, trained as an ophthalmology resident at Pittsburgh's Eye and Ear Institute, and completed glaucoma fellowship training at the University of Iowa. Before joining NVOA she spent five and a half years as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Bruno has lectured nationally and regionally and has authored original scientific articles. Her professional memberships include the American Glaucoma Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Medical Society of Northern Virginia, and the Northern Virginia Academy of Ophthalmology.

She enjoys hiking in the Virginia mountains, cooking, and time with family and friends.
